Touhou 17 OST Rankdown

Touhou 17 Wily Beast and Weakest Character came out yesterday night, and oh boy it was a solid great out of game. I only cleared normal due to an arm injury so I’ll refrain from commenting on the gameplay too much, but the music I have enough listens throughout today to form a ranking. Without further ado, here we go. EDIT December 4: More changes Move stage 4 up more Move stage 5 up EDIT August 17: After some more listening, I’ve made the following changes:

Fantastic Danmaku Festival 2 Contribution

Just wanted to proudly announce that my first ever translation work has been released! I helped translate the Phantasm stage dialogue for the very well known fangame Fantastic Danmaku Festival 2, as well as the music room comments from Chinese to English. This marks the first time my work has actually made it into a game, and it’s such a big one too! I love the Touhou community with all my heart, and hopefully this is just the first of many contributions I can make to it!

Touhou Q&A

I saw @thyeashie’s tweet and thought I’d join in on the fun too. How you heard about Touhou Project I remember watching my eldest sister play Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and Perfect Cherry Blossom a long time ago, like, around when those games just came out (2004-2008). I didn’t really remember the series though, until the summer of 2015 before college. I don’t even remember what it was that brought me in, probably some stereotypical “What Is Touhou?

A Walk on Elliot Bay

Today, I took a walk down to the shores of Elliot Bay, which was about 7 minutes walking from my apartment. I walked quite a ways up the shore, then turned back. Halfway back, I sat down on a bench and just relaxed a moment, taking in the sunset, the silvery water, and the gentle splashing of the waves. Then, I decided I’d try to compose a Chinese poem for it.

Things I Like (TIL) #9: Benzene Series (Vocaloid)

What is this? I’ve liked many things throughout the years. While some have fallen out of my attention, others remain firmly cemented in my memories and feelings. So, I’ve decided to start a mini-series where each week (hopefully), I pick something random that I like or have liked and discuss it, why I like it, and its impact on me. These things can be varied, and range from more trivial matters such as my favourite animal, to books, games, and movies I’ve liked, to topics that have shaped who I am as a person.

New Calendaring System

Today, I spent some time setting up a new self-hosted calendar instance for myself. It’s been a growing goal of mine to start self hosting more of my online services, and fortunately calendar and todo is well-supported by the common CalDAV protocol. Server I decided to use Radicale, a lightweight DAV server implementation written in Python 3. It was easy to download from the stable OpenBSD package repo and install. Configuring took slightly longer, as the docs for Radicale were, although complete, a bit disorganized.
